Overview of High-Performance Query Driven Visual
Explorations of Large-Scale Biodiversity and Environmental Data
As a researcher that is trained in both Geography and Computer
Science, I have long-term research interests in realizing the
"Digital Earth" vision. Over the past few years, we have developed
quite a few prototypes for both vector and raster geospatial data
with applications to biodiversity data explorations, remote sensing
data understanding and their combinations. While our proposals along
the direction have not had a chance to be externally funded, we are
working actively with multi-disciplinary researchers to advance our
research interests in the important research area.
