Research Interests

I have broad research interests in geospatial technologies and their environmental and social-economic applications. Trained as both a geographer and a computer scientist, I am committed to the interdisciplinary research that crosses the boundary of computer science, information technologies and domain sciences, such as geography, ecology and transportation.

Below is a list of a few interrelated topics. Note that these research topics are quite dynamic in nature and some initiatives just get started. Please feel free to send your comments to me at jzhang at cs dot ccny dot cuny dot edu.
