Data is an important component of geospatial research and development. The GeoTECI lab has accesses to the following unique datasets:

1)       Nearly 300 million taxi trip records in NYC from 2008 to 2010 (nearly two years). The records include pickup and drop off locations and times as well as some valuable additional information. We are working on this large-scale data to extract traffic patterns in NYC.

2)       More than 1.7 million traffic crashes from 1989 to 2007.

Below is a short list of public datasets that we have extensively explored and used in our research projects and publications.

1)       NYC BYTES of the BIG APPLE

2)       NYC MTA transportation data

3)       WorldClim Global Climate Data

4)       Point species distribution data from GBIF data portal

5)       MODIS data from Global Land Cover Facility (GLCF)

6)       NCEP climate reanalysis data

7)       UCAR data served through THREDDS Data Server
