Master's Thesis Requirements

Re: Requirements for Master’s Thesis
I. The general form of Master’s Thesis should conform to the
standards
of a Professional Journal (see, e.g., Turabian’s Manual for
Writers
of
Term Papers, Theses and Dissertations). It must have an abstract, a
table
of
contents, suitably arranged references, as well as an introduction and
conclusion.
II. The thesis must have a cover sheet signed by the Advisor and the
Department
Chairman. The latter signature will signify that the Departmental
Requirements
have been met. *(See below sample).
III. Two copies of the thesis in a form suitable for binding must be
submitted.
IV. The thesis must be accepted by the Associate Dean for Graduate
Studies.
V. Only full-time faculty of professorial rank may act as advisors.
Exceptions
to the rule may made upon request to the Associate Dean for Graduate
Studies
and by the department chairman.
